exhibition: maison martin margiela @haus der kunst (munich)

a couple of days ago: i went to the maison martin margiela exhibition at haus der kunst in munich with a friend of mine matthias winkler (a great artist from vienna, who works also with fabrics and 2nd-hand clothing). it was a great journey for only one day - just to be inspired by a selection of 20 years of mmm's fashion-re-thinking, a critical way to look behind the fashion-system's curtains.

please take a deep look on some "private" pictures:

the london fashion bus (2003-2004)

while surfing through the internet - i came across this great idea of a "london fashion bus":

time and place were no longer fixed. fashion came to every hidden area or village in the UK and it was also a good opportunity to give young designers a wider audience.

a couple of years ago, barry laden had this wonderful idea of a continually touring showroom = a refitted double-decker metro bus!
the london fashion bus is not in business anymore! the bus toured the UK in 2003-2004. but it was a wonderful idea to present young designer clothing in a "agile" way - not only shown and available in the fashion city london!

hope such a lovely idea will raise again!

patricia muriale's degree in fashion design (berlin) -- some sketches

my sister's last collection for her degree (@the university of applied science/berlin) is about:
memories & oblivion / deleted scenes & forgotten dreams

a debate on human, cultural, psychological elements of everyday life translated into pattern and fabrics
her aim is to discuss an abstract theme and thinking through a practically concept - a creation of new accesses for rethinking, interpretation and expression through fashion

an inquiring which is similar to my examination of deconstruction fashion

(please see below some illustrations)
